Evoking the simplicity of the traditional Australian beach shack, Tucker House connects you directly to the bush in comfort and style. With deep set parapet balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows, and clad in three-tone Equitone in a unique chevron pattern, it floats effortlessly above the trees. Tucker House features a spacious living area with stylish furnishing and spectacular views, stunning art, a fabulous chef’s kitchen, two large balconies, three bright bedrooms and all the luxuries necessary for a memorable holiday.

Living areas

Eclectically and tastefully furnished, the main living areas are finished in hardwood-grained Italian porcellanato tiles and framed by full height double glazed windows. The large Punjabi teak dining table with Italian designer chairs and a Chinese bench. The stylish and comfortable leather chairs, expandable B&B Italia lounge suite and indoor/outdoor oversize bean bag are all perfect for lazy afternoon naps.

The long beach-facing southern balcony provides expansive views of Wye River town and beach, whilst the western balcony is a sunny and secluded oasis. The wood heater provides excellent warmth in the chilly months, whilst the split-level air conditioner will see you comfortably through hot summer days and nights.

The large Sony TV features all Melbourne free-to-air channels, as well as a blu-ray DVD player and HDMI-Lightning adapter (to connect to your iPhone or iPad for streaming services). The Onkyo stereo provides brilliant sound to play music CDs or listen to the radio (AM/FM). It can be connected to any mobile device to stream your own music, or use our iPad stocked with loads of albums and special DJ mixes.

Kitchen

Chef designed and stocked, our kitchen is stylish, spacious and has all the equipment necessary for a well fed holiday. Foodie features include:

  • Smeg gas stove, electric oven and dishwasher.

  • Füri chef’s knives (regularly sharpened) plus a wide range of utensils for cooking and baking.

  • An eclectic range of serving bowls and plates, including Brae and Mikasa crockery, and Japanese stoneware bowls.

  • Loads of glassware: tumblers, wine glasses, champagne flutes, shot glasses.

  • Espresso coffee machine, moka pot, plunger and teapots.

  • Rice cooker, stick blender, casserole dishes, tagine, cake tins and bakeware.
  • Plenty of bench space.

  • Pantry basics (oil, salt, pepper) and a fully-stocked Spice Box.

  • Cookbooks for recipes and inspiration.

Wi-fi

Tucker House does not have wifi, but your Telstra or Optus mobile (and any affiliates, such as Boost) will work well. We apologise for any inconvenience but truly hope it helps you unwind from the hustle and bustle.

The TV has a HDMI-Lightning adapter, which allows you to easily stream video (e.g. Netflix) directly from your phone to the screen. We also have a great selection of DVDs and books!

Bedrooms

The two master bedrooms (one with en suite) feature full height windows opening onto the south-facing balcony with exceptional views of the sea. With comfortable queen beds and ample storage they are havens high in the treetops.

The bright third bedroom features two comfortable single beds. All bedrooms are fitted out with 100% premium New Zealand wool carpet and ceiling fans.

All linen and towels are included.

Bathrooms

Sumptuous and private, with powder coated fixtures and Italian porcellanato tiles, the main and en suite bathrooms are well appointed with extra large walk-in showers. Stocked with Salus soaps and body washes.

Laundry

A water-efficient washing machine, plus a dryer, sink and clothesline are available for guest use.
